Über mich

CURRENT MISSION

getting ready to grow up.. or not.

ABOUT ME

I am open to new experiences in every area - people, food, places, cultures. Of course, I love to travel.. (like most of us here do, I guess) and I really need a vacation.. but at the moment I am pretty busy trying to finish my degree in psychology within a certain amount of time... *fingers crossed*
besides studying I love to have a good chat about this and that, fooling around.
I try to learn as many languages as possible..
mostly i can't have enough of everything - not enough traveled, too early to leave a party,... you could say i am a bit sensation seeking ;)

PHILOSOPHY

keep your eyes open to see the usual

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

at the moment I can just offer my lovely company at your place or at the café next to my place... too little room :(

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

not so much until now..
i just a had a very short but also very positive experience with alexa in paris..
and a not really CS one but still surfing experience in prague: we met our host on the street, drank tea together and then slept 2 nights on his kitchen floor.. but he is no official couch surfer.. but still he was a great host! - please do not chat people up in the street! at least go for a tea with them first ;) but this guy had dreads.. so we knew he wasn't dangerous ;)

Interessen

photography - I love to take pictures, always trying to make a special picture, I try to have my reflex camera always with me...
besides i am interested in films, architecture, art, literature, history, languages, travelling, food,...
and in people and their stories
as i am psychologist i love to watch people doing what they are doing, i can spent hours observing people on the street/in the park and find little interesting or funny things in their habits or in their way of doing things.. some of them are telling stories just by watching their behaviour. and i like to invent stories that could fit to this person. sounds a bit crazy and yes it is...

Musik, Filme und Bücher

there are so many good movies out there... for me some of the really good ones are: Mr. lehman, lucia y el sexo, waltz with bashir!, I'm not there, the diving bell and the butterfly, science of sleep, lucky number slevin, Lost in translation, burn after reading, big lebowski, persepolis,...
I have seen nearly all hitchcock movies and i really like them, this man was a genius.
as a relict of my childhood i still love bud spencer and terence hill movies :D

books: Die Stadt der träumenden Bücher by Walter Moers, Orwell's 1984, HERMANN HESSE (great great writer!)
music: funk, jazz, reggae, ska also rock and acoustic stuff.. a lot more I can't label.

books: everything is illuminated..
i do read from time to time. but movies have more dimensions and more ways to transfer a message.. just think about the "sign" language in 'the door in the floor'. and movies are easier to consume ;)
still i keep trying to read the one or other book.. for example the letters from jean paul sartre to simone de beauvoir... but when he was at the front in WWII it just got boring because this poor lad had nothing to do instead of writing letters and writing about other letters he wrote....
but one really amusing book is "Fanny Hill" the first porno of literature written in 1749.. this book is just fun! A 18th century guy is writing out of the perspective of a prostitute of those days :D very interesting socilogical studies ;)
oh and joachim ringelnatz was a really great german poet. i don't know if his stuff was translated but he made funny silly poems which i really like.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I can teach you how to knit or how to make the best crumble ever...
