I have quit my job and decided to go on worldly travel adventure. The travels started mid June '16 with a directional path that makes no sense. Starting in Sweden for midsommar to find myself traveling to Kenya and then back to Europe. Then I ended up in an unplanned trip to Thailand. Just rent a moto and get lost. Winging it is more my style and I have been pleasantly surprised by what occurs with very little planning.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined a few years ago thinking I would get involved, I did not. Then I spoke with my relatives in Sweden recently and they have hosted many surfers over the years and experienced/learned quite a lot. Through their stories I have decided to go full swing and get in on the adventure. The hope is to learn the differences that lead to commonality.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked Mt. Kenya point Lenana.

Backpacked across Scotland.

Spent the night in a bush in Stockholm.

Crossed the border to Myanmar/Burma without a visa or passport.

I love learning differences in cultures and what everyday life is like in another land. I believe it is a benefit to reflect on our own culture through the lense of another. A good discussion in politics is always beneficial.
