One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last year, I took a gap year to volunteer in a remote village in Nepal. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. During my time there, I worked with the local community to build a school and provide educational resources to children who had previously been unable to attend classes. It was challenging at times, especially with the language barriers and limited resources, but I remained committed to the project and felt so fulfilled seeing the progress we were making.
The best part of my experience was getting to know the people in the village. They were so welcoming and kind, and I learned so much from them about their way of life and culture. I also made some lifelong friends along the way.
Leaving Nepal was bittersweet, but I'm so proud of what we accomplished together. My time there taught me the power of education and the importance of cultural exchange. I hope to continue to make a difference in the world in my own small way, and I'll always cherish the memories I made in Nepal.
