About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Building community and raising amazing children

ABOUT ME

I'm unimposing, yet opinionated, strong, and independent.
I listen very well and I'm not particularly judgmental. Ask me questions if you want to know more.

PHILOSOPHY

Make the best of what the universe gives you.
Laughter is the best medicine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point I am not participating very actively, but when things have settled down I plan to do more. I'm happy to host people and I love meeting new folks.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had a couple experiences directly through this network, though I have slept on many a couch during my travels.
Stan da Man came through for us when we were stranded in Amsterdam...thanks, Man.

Interests

I am interested in more things than I can list. Healthy living and travel and my sons and family are the most important, though not necessarily in that order.
Intentional communities is another topic I find interesting and important.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like odd music like Ween, Cibo Matta, James Kochalka Superstar, Ween, The Devil Makes Three, and Beck. Plus electronica, lounge, old rock, jazz...

For movies I tend to like independent or foreign films like Palindromes, The City of Lost Children (La Cite des Enfants Perdus), Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog, and Blinking Lights.

Fantasy and science fiction books are my favorite fun reads and anything about sexuality, spirituality, holistic health, and/or addiction for nonfiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing? Sunset in the Kalalau Valley of Kauai, though it is tied for first with sitting in the top of a giant redwood tree in northern Cali.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have some carpentry skill and friends with experience in alternative building techniques, especially cob.
I also have a small amount of shamanic experience.
I am studying social work at Smith College.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Dinner, stories, laughter

Countries I’ve Visited

Denmark, Ireland, Netherlands
