Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe that couch surfing is more than just free accommodations. It's a way to meet people and to appreciate the other cultures around me hands on. I think that couch surfing is beneficial in that it's a totally different experience of meeting new people that you might not have if you traveled the traditional way. It's definitely a chance to push you out of your comfort zone and to see cultures through a different set of eyes. Travelers are a special kind of people, and we all share one common interest: exploring the world.

I would say it's a toss up between canyoning in the Austrian Alps or seeing the aurora borealis in the arctic circle of Norway.
