ABOUT ME

Salutations!

I am an aspiring midwife, settling my roots in San Diego. I have plans to attend school soon, and participate in the birth community.

I enjoy eating vegetables, drinking herbal tea, meditating, and learning new things. I dig wandering streets and forests, feeling the earth beneath my feet and the sun/moon on my head. I play tenor sax, and love to jam with other musicians (or any people who like to make noise).

I care deeply about reproductive justice, food justice, and the struggle for accessible health care. I believe people should have the right to determine what happens with their bodies, where it happens, with whom, and how. (Can't always plan when.) I want to assist birthing parents to have their dream birth, and to lower the cesarean section rate of this country. Also, I am passionate about transgender activism, and believe more people could step up to learn more about what it means to be a trans* ally.

Also, I love spirit science, the Boondocks, graphic novels/comic books, bicycling around, collaborating ideas with new friends, tarot cards and astrology.

Currently, I am an artisan soap-crafter with my partner. We have started our own business, with intent to sell our products at the farmers markets by late autumn, early winter.

Also, I am a fierce recycler. I will take my recyclables home just to make sure they're properly recycled.
