ABOUT ME

I'm a knitter! A lot of people define themselves by their occupation - I define myself by my hobby!

I've done a lot of travelling and have settled in Vancouver because it's simply stunning! That, and there is a wayyy bigger job market here than in my hometown in rural Newfoundland.

Learn every day! That may be the reason why I have a bunch of "useless" information in my head.

I believe travelling shouldn't be a break-the-bank endeavour! Trusting people is awesome, and I want to do more of that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Our place has been pretty open to poets/musicians from around North America since we moved in two years ago - we had two friends that stayed with us for a week from New York who really seemed to love the Vancouver vibe. We showed them around, including bringing them up to the Cypress lookout. They were so awesome!

Another experience was hosting a couple that were up here for the Olympics.. they ended up buying us tickets to a curling event!
