About Me
Hi! I’m PJ who loves connecting with people from all around the world. I believe that life is more meaningful when we share stories, experiences, laughter, and kindness with each other.
I run a small coffee shop called Urban Folks, a community space where people come as strangers and leave as friends. When I’m not there, you’ll probably find me exploring the island, enjoying sunsets on the beach, or having deep conversations over good coffee.
I’m passionate about local culture, simple living, and genuine human connection. I value respect, kindness, and open-mindedness, qualities that turn any meeting into friendship.
So whether you’re coming to Bali for adventure, peace, or inspiration, I’ll be happy to share stories, local tips, and a cup of coffee (or two ☕).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because I believe the best part of traveling isn’t just the places — it’s the people you meet along the way. I love meaningful connections, real conversations, and learning about life through different cultures.
I’ve met so many amazing people in Bali through my coffee shop and community, and Couchsurfing feels like another beautiful way to keep that spirit alive — opening doors, sharing kindness, and reminding each other that we’re all connected somehow.
I’m here not just to host or stay, but to build memories, exchange stories, and make friends from all over the world.
Interests
Coffee (of course ☕️), dogs 🐶, meeting new people, community building, storytelling, beach walks, and discovering hidden local spots. I love learning about different cultures, trying local food, watching the sunset, and having meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee or a cold beer.
Also into photography, music, small adventures, and anything that connects people in a positive way.
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I’m deeply connected to songs with meaning — my all-time favorite is “Because He Lives”, a song that’s carried me through tough times and reminded me that faith and hope always win. But I also enjoy a mix of chill island tunes, reggae, acoustic, and anything that fits Bali’s sunset mood.
Movies: I love movies that make you feel something — from inspiring true stories and heartfelt dramas to classic comedies that remind you to laugh at life. The Pursuit of Happyness, Eat Pray Love, and Forrest Gump never get old for me.
Books: I enjoy books that touch the soul or open the mind — a mix of spiritual reflections, personal growth, and stories of resilience. Anything that helps me see life with more gratitude and compassion.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the most amazing things I’ve done was turning my challenges into purpose. There was a time when life was really tough, I had nothing but faith, hope, and a dream. But by God’s grace, I managed to build Urban Folks, a small coffee shop that’s now more than just a business, it’s a place where people connect, share stories, and find comfort.
It’s amazing to see how something that started from nothing has become a home for many travelers, locals, and even dogs 🐾. Every time I see people smiling, making new friends, or feeling at peace there, I’m reminded that this is what I was meant to do.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love connecting through stories, experiences, and good conversations. I can teach you about life in Bali, how to make great coffee (I run a small coffee shop here!), and share tips on hidden spots around the island that most tourists never find.
I’m always eager to learn — from people, cultures, or just random deep talks about life. I believe every person we meet has something valuable to teach us.
And I love sharing positive energy, kindness, and good vibes — because I believe that what we share always comes back in beautiful ways.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share good stories, positive energy, and real conversations over coffee (I own a coffee shop in Bali — so good coffee is guaranteed 😄).
I love cooking simple local or BBQ-style meals, sharing a bit of Indonesian culture, and listening to your stories too.
If you ever visit Bali, I’d love to return the kindness — show you around, introduce you to my community, and take you to local hidden spots most tourists never find.
