ABOUT ME

I have been an artist all my life, and any sort of creative expression comes easily to me. My art has included photography, oil painting, watercolors, ceramics, printmaking, leather work, and jewelry. I have also owned my own business for most of my life, including a gallery and a bead store. I am also a dancer, and I have taught dance, and ran a dance troup for many years. I enjoy exploring, especially in nature. I love canoeing, kayaking, walking, water skiing, hiking, and camping. I currently live in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, USA, a small hippie tourist town, full of unusual people just like me, where I am well known for my fun and colorful costumes, face painting, dancing, and artwork. I love being me!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe we are here on this earth to make connections with each other, and to let go of our fears and negativity, until we are able to give and receive love unconditionally.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I really enjoy experiencing a new culture by making friends with the locals and spending a while in one place. I enjoy making new friends and going with the flow. I am looking forward to experiencing more travel through couch surfing.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A few years ago, I was staying in a small hotel in Tulum, Mexico, and I heard African drums, so I followed the sound. It led me to an African dance class, and I connected with some people who live in a camping community, and teach various classes, and do performances of dance, music, circus arts, etc. I felt right at home, and returned to camp with them for several months for many years, contributing my abilities, and creating a series of whimsical paintings, inspired by all that talent I was in the midst of. Since then I've traveled with a friend from Halapa, Vera Cruz and around Mexico City and Tepostlan, I've been to many places in the Yukatan including Coba, Valladolid, Akumal, and Puerto Morelos, and stayed with friends in Puerto Vallarta.
