I am an Architectural designer. Dream big and make it in real is what I am good at.

Besides, there are some other roles I play in my life, such as an online teacher -- I enjoy teaching and mentoring architecture students from China, in that sharing things is the most beautiful thing in the world.
I am also an amateur pianist, who used to teach children the piano back to college time. Although I didn't touch the keyboard for years due to the frequent travel, I still have some muscle memories in order to play a Nocturnes for you! I am a mushroom lover - I enjoy foraging/growing/cooking/eating it! Recently, while working from home, I developed a new hobby by making videos. And, my channel just started to earn me some pennies! It is like a new piece of muscle for my life and made me the first time felt the power of the internet.

I am a global citizen and love travelling a lot. By growing up in China, and later studied/ worked in Germany, Denmark, and the US, I am more and more getting a crush on this world.

I am open-minded and straightforward (unfortunately, I didn't inherit a lot of the Chinese 'complexity'). These years, I slowly realize that my happiness comes from sharing. So I enjoy sharing ideas, stories, experiences... I am a 'Dérive' traveller, which means I don't plan my journey that much. Instead, I enjoy giving more spontaneity to the city and the people there.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I enjoy meeting different people and sharing a different culture. I used to hold a suspicious point of view to Couchsurfing. However, since the first time I tried it, I fell in love with it because it is a window let me see the beautiful part of the world. I was touched by the trusts built between people to people. My travelling became not just seeing a new place but also visiting a new friend.

My philosophy of travelling is being local instead of being a tourist. For me, the best way to get to know a city is to experience all aspects of it- food, architecture, urban life, language, clothes, local people, lifestyles... also all senses of it- how it smell, taste, sound, feel, look like...

It's hard to name only one. I will just name the latest one- I did a road trip driving through the Old Route 66 from Michigan to Los Angeles. And I almost step on a baby rattlesnake (which is fatal) at Monumental Valley!
