ABOUT ME

I come from China and now a grad student studying in the United States, aspiring to be a prominent engineer someday. I'm open, kind, optimistic and sometimes sentimental. I like to talk with people from different cultural background and discover those tiny amazing similarity and connections shared among us.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that eventually what you regret is not something you did but something you didn't do. So I try to expose myself to all kinds of experience, as many as possible, especially those seems challenging to myself.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been couchsurfing several times since I came to the U.S 8 months ago, especially during one road trip from Kansas to Las Vegas. I've also shared my appartment here on campus to all the people who need to stop and find a place to rest their feet. Ever since, no one has bother to come yet, probably because it's a really tiny city from nowhere.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been couchsurfing several times since I came to the U.S. All of places I've stayed are really nice and every host are kind and friendly, even when we arrived late in the mid-night or at 3 a.m. More and more, I find this as an important part of travelling. Through couchsurfing, I've known many great people along the road who are willing to share good food and good story.

Interesses

I like travelling. I've travelled to many places in China. Since I came to the US, I start to love road trip. I've been driving in the western desert and concrete metropolitan in the upper east coast. I plan to do more. Besides traveling, I love watching movie and reading books. I like jogging, badminton and tennis. Recently, I've participated in a 5-Mile running race. My next goal is 10K.

I can give a rather long list of movies that I love. Most recent ones are 'The life of others', '3:10 to Yuma', '12 Angry Men', 'Lust, Caution', 'A beautiful Mind' and 'Source Code'.
Musicians I enjoy includes Ethan Chen, Sun Yanzi, Oasis, Coldplay, U2, Bethoven and Tchaikovsky.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I directed a film with my friends in memory of our college life and graduation. It takes us three month through the whole process but when it was played in the auditorium on campus, with huge audience and long lasting applause, all the hard work paid off.
