I was born and raised in Warsaw, Poland. At the age of 16 I was introduced to traditional sailing; the travel bug was an obvious side effect of my love of the sea. As the years went on, a hobby became a job. For nearly 8 years I lived, worked, and traveled the world aboard tall ships. In 2008 I met a Canadian sailor whom I married two years later. We retired from full time sailing and after spending a few years in Poland together, we decided to settle in the Arctic.
