To become the kings of South Africa
This is a special profile I put together for the 2 of us travelling together. However check out our individual profiles for references. Thanks.
I've put this profile up specifically in order to get couches for World Cup! We are experienced world cuppers and great guests. I cook a mean breakfast, and Wes is a naturally gifted poet. We are non-smokers, moderate drinkers, pet-friendly, and both have excellent hygiene. With Wes, your bathroom will probably smell better after he leaves (he's a vegetarian and basically eats flowers).
Wes and I visit Europe pretty much every year. Our first adventure was World Cup in Germany and since then we've been to Eurocup in Vienna and more recently we were in Amsterdam and Belgium for no reason whatsoever.
At more than 12' tall and 160+ kgs (combined) we form an awesome mega-robot... OK it's probably just me standing on Wes's shoulders making robot noises, but it is still very cool!
Recently Wes is starting to become a pussy though. I caught him crying the other day because he saw a turtle die on TV or something: Yes he is a sensitive vegetarian!
I on the other hand am your basic, sport playing, world travelling, meat-eating, rock hard, professional finger painter -- and all that that entails.
In a nutshell we are a couple of fun, worldly Canadians. We are polite, we say "eh" and we like our women sporty and our beer ... well, beer-y. Mind you it would have to be a fair sized nut, maybe more like an RV really. Except instead of wheels for locomotion it would just be a giant rolling hamster ball.
Personally I choose not to philosophize! The past is set and the future unknown. LIVE FOR TODAY!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I myself have done some couchsurfing (see my profile; I am my own friend). And Wes and I have both stayed with people while traveling, although not using this website.
I've always hosted people (again, not through this website) but with a sprawling family like mine there's always someone passing through somewhere, and it's great to connect with a cousin or an uncle that I've never met before!
With world cup accommodation being scarce, and my recent awesome experiences on couch surfing, I thought this would be a great opportunity!
Music, music, music.... anything from Blink 182 to Coldplay to Lostprophets.to the Beatles.
I also play guitar....let me serenade you....

Music, Movies, and Books
Currently reading the Autobiography of Nelson Mandela...amazing read. Really helps you to appreciate how far the country has come over the past 50 years.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My favorite memory of partying with Wes was probably when we ran out of gas on the autobahn. There was some anger, some fear, and ... no gas. I'll tell you all about it when I meet you!
