About Me
Hello my name is Wesley Otto, 25 year old Ex college student out traveling around the globe working and living along the way. After the company I worked for back in the states closed down I decided it was time for a drastic life changing adventure. I moved out of my apartment, sold most of my belongings, said goodbye to family and friends and took off! So far Ive lived in Iceland working at a sheep farm and making extra cash on a fishing boat in my days off. I’ve lived in Wales volunteering at a horse riding center. I’ve volunteered at a NGO in the UK working with refugees. I’ve lived with a family I met along my travels, in Switzerland helping teach her 4 children English as well as working on the farm. And my last adventure was volunteering for a NGO in Serbia for 3 months working with refugees and asylum seekers. While I travel I truly try and make the most of my time by connecting with locals, living and working alongside them. Between placements while traveling I thought Couchsurfing would be a good fit for me to make even more connections and friends along the way in hopes when I go back home I can return the favor and keep in touch with those I’ve met and spent time with. As of now I’m taking one month off to travel Romania! First stop in Timisoara, then Cluj-Napoca, and after that I’ll be volunteering at a campsite in Transylvania.
No Facebook, but you can check me out on Instagram if you would like @Wandering_westicles

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m currently reading multiple books, Maps of meaning by Jordan B Peterson, The End of Faith by Sam Harris, The Age of surveillance Capitalism by Shoshana Zuboff, A Brief History in Spacetime by Steven Hawking, to name a few. I enjoy fiction as well and migrate between the two. When it comes to music I love all types, but nothing beats some good oldies, or some chill indi/alt.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Climbed a active volcano!
