Overview
About Me
Texan, born and bred, but I never felt quite at home growing up. Travelling's been a way for me to see the cityscapes and the cultures I wish had been nearby when I was younger. I've been incredibly lucky in that I've gotten to spend part of my undergrad at St Andrews in eastern Scotland. It's a nearer base, and it means exploring Europe's far more reasonable. I've always loved learning as much as I can, so I've kept my courseload pretty diverse. I want to see, hear, and read about art, architecture, history, politics, economics, philosophy, anthropology, and especially cuisine. I wish I had a gift for languages, but I keep trying.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on winter break from my classes. It's a good time to explore a few European cities.
The most meaningful part of traveling is meeting people when I do. Hearing different stories from people with widely different lives helps keep me grounded, and I think it's good for my personal growth. Let's share them!
And as university student, I do not have a lot of time to devote to making money, I'd love to be able to minimize what I spend.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I love debating. It's my extracurricular of choice, and I'd argue it's a sport. I was honored to represent my university at the European Universities Debating Competition in Tallinn, Estonia over the summer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love chatting about just about anything, and I bring a pretty open-minded, outgoing attitude.
I expect to pitch in to share the cost of meals, but my cooking skills are rather comical. I'd love to learn.
