Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To help educate others and myself about the rest of the world that we have yet to understand
ABOUT ME
Student and rookie world traveller; studying Global and Middle Eastern studies along with International Relations and the Arabic language. I'm currently spending my time trying to find out what people on other sides of the world think about each and how any misunderstandings can be fought against.
PHILOSOPHY
Life for those with the option should be lived in service to those without the option
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm currently in the middle of traveling myself, so I unfortunately can't provide a couch. However, I am always willing and ready to help the community as a heavy travel-addict who would love to share and exchange experiences on the road with other members.
Interests
Music, travel, the Middle East...Thailand--everything about that wonderful and beautiful country
- traveling
- music
- emergency services
- international relations
Music, Movies, and Books
Easy to swallow indie rock, folk and music from the British; the more I travel the more I find myself hooked to music about traveling
Bookwise I'm a huge fan of history, biographies, and anything on the Middle East
My favorite film, hands down: City of God; a wonderful and intense fictional account of the development of a Rio slum
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Standing at the base of Qasr an-Nile bridge in downtown Cairo on January 28th, 2011, watching protesters fight their way through the police to Midan Tahrir; one of the most eye-opening and surreal things I've ever seen.
Countries I’ve Visited
Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Netherlands, Oman, Spain, Thailand
Countries I’ve Lived In
Egypt, Morocco, United Arab Emirates, United States
