ABOUT ME

I grew up spending winters in the Big Smoke (Toronto, Ontario) going to school and summers at my paternal homestead in Uxbridge, Ontario, where I learned to ride, shoot, fish, and enjoy/look after the outdoors. I have a younger brother who is infinitely cooler and more interesting than I am yet who could learn a lot from reading the Classics and Goethe (as I feel everyone should at some point). I was raised by a lawyer and a civil servant, enjoy healthy discussion and swapping stories over pints, whisky or a mug of tea and a biscuit. At the moment, when I'm not in class, I'm reading, writing or just hanging out.

I am just beginning here on couch-surfing.org and have yet to enjoy my first surfing experience, although I've heard many wonderful things about it. I look forward to a bright future of hosting and being hosted on many a couch.

The Great Highland Bagpipe has 4 reeds (3 single-bladed reeds and 1 double-bladed one), plays nine notes over a constant background cord, and is capable of an astoundingly wide variety of music, ranging from traditional Scottish, Irish, and Eastern European folk songs in all time signatures right up to the Beatles and ACDC tunes. The bagpipe in general is one of the most diverse and versatile instruments around, which is certainly a contributing factor to it being one of the oldest types of instrument in the world.
