ABOUT ME

I am truly in love with life, its people and all the opportunities it holds for us to discover.
I have been traveling the world in the last three years and got pretty fascinated by the beauty of nature, cultures and people.
I love outdoor adventures, trekking and all sorts of water sports but from time to time I also enjoy the quiet moments that make us think about life.
To me, there is almost nothing better than having a hot cup of tea amongst friends after a hard day in icy Latvia or a cold beer with strangers after hours of trekking in tropical Brazil.
I strongly believe that there are much fewer restrictions to our personal life than we think there are. We just need the courage to overcome our own fears more often.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Summer 2011 I went on an InterRail trip with my best friend. That was when I was introduced to couchsurfing. The experience I got was overwhelming. We had breathtaking insights into local people's life, shared haunting stories and made friends for a lifetime.
In the end we were definitely infected by the couchsurfing travel fever.
In Southeast Asia I randomly bumped into some CSers, in Copenhagen I met one of the most memorable CSer I ever met so far and in New York we landed at that amazing Couch Surfing New Year's Eve house party.
I couchsurfed in places I never thought I would be going to like Easter Island and the Amazon, seriously, this community has been truly amazing to me!

Now I am heading to the nordic countries and am excited for all the new people, friendships and stories there are to come.

I am curious about life and sometimes come up with unusual questions.
Whoever likes to think about the world a bit more deeply and crazy, I have a lot of unsolved questions left ;)

Apart from that, I find something positive in almost everything. :)
