About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Making the World a Better Place One Bite at a Time

ABOUT ME

I can spend great lengths of time alone, but love the company of others. I believe that food is my weakness. I am what I am, there isn't a good way of describing it on a profile page. I am always smiling, maybe I am having a good time, maybe I am nervous or uncomfortable, generally it is how I deal with situations and it usually works. I am able to laugh at all things, especially myself. I am the youngest of three boys and play the role of the catalyst in my family, whether that be good or bad. I was born in Wisconsin, was raised in Oregon and now live in Madrid. I love connecting with people and sharing friendships. I talk to strangers, cashiers, waiters. I really like the odd dance of socializing with someone you have just met, sometimes there is an instant connection and you can't help but smile and go with the flow. I have great patience with all things. I have an open attitude, I give all art and people a chance. I am a nice guy that cares about life and people. I love to travel and explore. I never stop eating, I love to cook and entertain. I am flexible and adjustable with my role at any given moment. I like to please people, but I am honest.

PHILOSOPHY

The more I learn the more I know.
I am an advocate for Slow Food.
I am Voluntarily Simplistic when I am conscious.
Smile...most of the time.
Try.
Respect.
Live.

When you're smilin'....The whole world smiles with you

Music, Movies, and Books

Seriously this is always growing and rotating.I consider all of these medias to be life changing opportunities.
I am a Film Freak and a harsh critic with odd guidelines.
I can like or hate movies from any production level and genre. Typically not a big fan of Box Office Hits, however I love films like The Breakfast Club, The Big Lebowski, Terminator, Pixar Films and Back to the Future for personal and sentimental attachments. I have a greater interest in non mainstream productions, yet have soft spots for directors and actors such as: Paul Thomas Anderson, Jim Jarmusch, Gus Van Sant, Charlie Kaufman, Joel & Ethan Coen, Pedro Almodovar, Christopher Guest, Francis Ford Coppola, Sergio Leone, Wes Anderson, David Lynch, Spike Jones, Orson Wells, Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese. Clint Eastwood, Bill Murray, Robert Deniro, Jeff Bridges, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Jack Nicholson...you get the just of it, I do believe that each of them have made bad films, no one is flawless.
TV is another beast altogether. I have two categories that I enjoy; Dumb and Intelligent.
Generally Intelligent TV is an HBO, Showtime or BBC production. But I include South Park, Freaks & Geeks, Twin Peaks, LOST, Twilight Zone, Outer Limits and Miami Vice to my list. The list is made mostly due to production, writing and acting.
Dumb TV that I enjoy includes: Fresh Prince, American Dad, MacGyver, 21 Jump Street, The Office, Dog Bites Man, The Simpsons, Arrested Development, Tales from the Crypt, Reno 911..These are more guilty pleasures.

Music is amazing and I love so many genres and groups. My brother is an enthusiast and DJ so I have a vast knowledge. I enjoy dancing to House, disco, nu-disco, techno, minimal, funk, soul, pop and rock. I listen to a lot of music, it helps me focus. Music of the moment; Whitest Boy Alive, Arcade Fire, OST Moon, Fine Young Cannibals, Cut Copy and Linger&Quiet Mixes.

Books are a great idea, I imagine one day I will read them more, for now I admit that I neglect literature.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was saved from choking to death. I saved a girl from drowning. I once heard a dog say, "I love Momma."

Teach, Learn, Share

I will encourage a responsible lifestyle and simplicity. I care about my life, the planet and this world I live in. I can introduce less common films and music. I am always willing to listen and learn. I can help you with your English and share my art knowledge. Sharing is caring. It is always nice to share and learn about new recipes and ideas. I can also share great videos on YouTube.com
