CURRENT MISSION
Use it while i got it...and hitchiking to the the moon
ABOUT ME
///important: sexists, racists, homophobes, transphobes, and other jerks are not welcome. don't even contact me////
I am relatively convinced that one's social relationships are what constitutes oneself and I tend to find myself around a bunch of punks, queers, anarchists, nerds, luddites, farmers, poets, herbalists, witches, theives, squatters, communards, kinky folk, malcontents, vandals, fanatics, etc. As for me I'm not really quite any of those things exactly, but a bit of most of them. You get the idea.
Also, importantly, I think that communism/ apocalypse/ the rapture is just around the corner
I am probably most happy when I have my nose buried a book in a good coffee shop.
I don't know what I am doing with my life.
I got grown up in Boulder Colorado, lived in Seattle for a bit then lived/traveled in ex-Yugoslavia for a longer bit, Bounced around the states, ended up at college in Portland, OR was there with a breif stint in Oakland, for 5 years then got lost in a whirlwind of cross country tours, a job as a traveling salesperson, sleeping on roofs in Brooklyn, a once abandoned house in Portland and in a little squatted cabin in Indiana. And all that, logically, lead me to buy a one way ticket to Berlin, where I still am, living in a giant collective house project and generally having a great time.
I once was an avid CS surfer and host, but to be honest I have mostly stopped over the past few years since I have been living in big collective houses where the quantity of guests was often a bit overwhelming without needing CS. Its hard to keep a profile up where you have 6 to 7 guests a month without the internet! But I still love the project and think it is a great idea.
PHILOSOPHY
"Anarchism is not a beautiful utopia, or an abstract philosophical idea, but a real movement..."
tattooed to prove it...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Without CS:
It is hard to even explain the amount of my life I have spent sleeping on couches that don't belong to me... Also, I am personally subject to the "punk hospitality clause" (sec. 1, article 2, clause 3) and therefore consistently living in houses where it is strange to not have at least one person crashing. And more often than not there are 3-1000 people crashing.
WITH CS:
-Couchsurfed across the Balkans and Turkey: through 8 countries and one UN administered zone...damn. It was a wonderful and cliched "life changing" experience for 19 year old me...
-Done some hosting in Colorado and Oregon and Berlin

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
everything, all the time
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach me how to cook something you cook and I will love you forever. Give me a new book to read and I will love you for a very long time.
I don't know what I can share really: cooking advice, a cup of tea and a chat, a bunch of obscure radical politics, some bizarre anthropology theory, a deeply felt hatred of this world, funny stories, the social history of wherever i am living.
