ABOUT ME

I live simply. I find more pleasure in life experiences than material items. I work in beautiful places, and then use my money to travel in other beautiful places. :)

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in love, kindness, and consideration for all things natural. I try to stay connected with nature, and spend as much time outdoors as possible. My health is a high priority, so I walk often and eat well. Positive thoughts go a long way. Positive actions go even farther!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have had the opportunity to both give and receive hospitality through the Couchsurfing Project. I especially enjoy hosting people on long journeys walking across the US, hearing stories of their daily adventures, and seeing the smiles on their faces when I offer them a shower or laundry or a big cooked meal! And I have also been cared for by complete strangers around the world - something that never fails to bring a sense of awe and admiration towards my host, as well as humility amongst a foreign culture.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I quickly fell in love with the couchsurfing community on my travels. It is an amazing feeling to be able to help strangers in need, and also receive hospitality in return. My positive experiences have far outweighed any negative.

兴趣

I love to play outside, and I work on trails to help give more people access to beautiful places.
I enjoy long-distance hiking, and have walked well over 5,000 miles throughout the US.
I have a deep appreciation for music, and started playing instruments from a young age. I now mostly just play accordion.

I enjoy all sorts of music...
I love playing waltzes on my accordion.
I don't watch much tv, but movies help me rest my legs - 'Amelie' is my current favorite.
I mainly just read identification books on plants, birds, and whatever ecosystem I'm living in... and I love learning about pheromones!

One day I sat and watched a spider build an entire web and catch it's first fly.

I am currently learning about essential oils, and making my own cleaning supplies for my home.
