About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to learn through travel

ABOUT ME

i like to travel to look to discover. i like that travel shows you things about yourself, the good and the bad, that you never knew existed. i like that travel is more than a discovery of places in the world but also a discovery of places within yourself and other people. i like that it is hard at times, and of course i love it when you catch yourself in a moment in some far off place doing something you thought perhaps only existed in dreams and you think 'ah yes,i am here.'

PHILOSOPHY

i think my philosophy changes on a daily basis but generally i am searching for balance and peace.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

one day i will have an open couch for travelers and as a couchsurfer i have stories, my abilities (and hopefully not 'or lack thereof' to share)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

surfed couches in morocco and west africa. all have been positive experiences for me.

Interests

music, hiking, farming, swimming: anything that involves being outdoors i love. cooking, reading, being in isolated places, being in cities, museums, parks, the streets, skyscrapers, mud huts...i am interested in about anything. i love nothing more than adventure, travel, discovery and photography...oh, and cycling.

Music, Movies, and Books

the ones that are inspiring.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

a three-tiered waterfall in guinea that we got to by many means of 'transportation': motorbike down muddy sloping rocky paths, then on foot down a steep slope, and walking across a very seemingly frail vine bridge over the water that dipped down into the massive steps of the waterfall! that was the best day of my travels through west africa.

Teach, Learn, Share

teach me and i can learn and i think i am a good teacher as well at least for the things i know how to do!
