Hi everyone! My name is Whitney and I am 26 years old and living in beautiful Mwanza, Tanzania. I first arrived here in October of 2012 with the United States Peace Corps, and after two years of service, took a job with Catholic Relief Services. I'm really outgoing, so I know a lot about the town and its night life, and have made quite a few connections. I've been in Mwanza for about eight months now so I can also be a great tour guide.

I've only just joined couch surfing as a means to meet new people traveling through my area. I have a lot to offer a couch surfer in terms of travel advice, language help, touring the city and/or getting a more "local" experience.
I plan on leaving Tanzania in January, so I hope at that point I will be hosted by some of you guys in your own countries!

兴趣

I love cooking! I have a pretty nice kitchen (compared to the tiny charcoal stove I used while in Peace Corps) and I use it often! I would love to have a guest who can show me how to make some of their favorite dishes from their countries.

Yoga. I have a nice big front yard that makes doing yoga and catching the breeze from Lake Victoria a two in one possibility.

Going out. Like I said, I'm a social girl! I like going out with friends on the weekend, or going by myself and meeting new people.
