I live in the South Minneapolis neighborhood of Keewaydin with my husband, Drew, and two cats, Harry & Oscar. When I am not in school or at work, I like to spend my time at home with family or exploring the fun neighborhood I live in. Only about a half mile from Lake Nokomis and Minnehaha Falls, there are many afternoons spent walking through parks, running, going to the beach, reading, and drinking local brews at some favorite neighborhood establishments. I have also been experimenting with gardening in my backyard, with varying degrees of success.

For the past few years, I have spent the summer months training for the Twin Cities Marathon. I love running and just wish I was brave enough to do it year-round in Minnesota.

I am also graduating from St. Catherine University in May and will be beginning my career as a Registered Nurse later this summer.

My grandfather had this quote framed and hanging in his home. From a young age, it has been a source of inspiration and a reminder to slow down and connect with the environment and people around me. Couchsurfing, I think, affords travelers the opportunity to do just that - really get to know the city you are from those that live there.

Music: I dabble in a little bit of everything. My regular Pandora stations range from Indie Pop to Folk to Top 40 to Country.

TV: House of Cards, Orange is the New Black. The West Wing. And my not-so-guilty pleasures are really any show that airs on Bravo.

A few years ago, I went skydiving in rural Wisconsin. It was such an exhilarating experience, and I one I hope to try again (maybe with a more exotic backdrop).

My cats LOVE to snuggle. So if you're willing, they will be in your lap looking for some loving. We also always have coffee on hand, as well as food and brew to share. We can also share advice about fun things to do and see in and around the Twin Cities. And if you are traveling by public transit, I'm pretty much an expert :)
