About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To move to Brooklyn, NY in November, 2012.

ABOUT ME

I'm a recent college graduate working a slightly boring 9-5 job. In between shifts, I like to hang out with my friends, sometimes having a beer at home and playing a good board game (Settlers of Catan, Cards Against Humanity, Betrayal at the House on Haunted Hill), other times having a little too much fun at a club (Karaoke and indie dance nights, not bleep blop dubstep music). I try not to be too serious, I'd rather have a lot of fun than a serious career, though the money would be nice. I draw, take photos, make books, and generally try to stay as crafty as possible. You can check out my tumblr: brattywhittles.tumblr.com for all my arty endeavors.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to eventually host some surfers, but I'm about to move cross country and now just isn't a good time.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In college, my roommate hosted a couch surfer from London. Other than that, I'm fairly new to the scene of couch surfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

As far as movies go, I'm into a wide range. I like girly teen dramas from the nineties like The Craft and Clueless, as well as horror movies-Cabin in the Woods blew my mind. For music, I prefer the indie side of things. I'm currently super into Grimes, Twin Shadows, and recently rekindled a love for 69 Love Songs by the Magnetic Fields (breakup music). When it comes to books, I'm currently reading the A Song of Ice and Fire series by GRRM (typical, I know!), but I love David Sedaris and his sister Amy, Augusten Burroughs, Kurt Vonnegut. I enjoy reading books like Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, and The House of Mirth once in a while, too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The Hostel in the Forest was pretty amazing. Would that I could live there.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to bind books, sew, use the Adobe Creative Suite.
