ABOUT ME

My Husband and I have 4 children. a 11 year old boy and boy/girl twins that are 8 and an almost 3 year old girl. We Moved to Asheville in 2012. after living in Colorado for 5 years.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We have taken a hiatus from Couchsurfing for a few years. Hoping to get back in the groove once again. We have also done similar housing exchanges with a different group. The past few years we have also hosted through WWOOF at our home. We sometimes have roommates, and often have friends, and friends of friends drop by for a night stay or a ride to the airport. We have a schoolbus folks stay in. We are 7 minutes from downtown Asheville.

I like to cook and do artsy things.
My husband likes to make music,and pray.
We like to help people. We try to recycle as much as possible, Shop and support sweatshops as little as possible, and eat wholesome organic food whenever we can.

We try not to be too legalistic or extreme in our beliefs or ideas. I am also into natural parenting, organic gardening, living at or below or means(debt free), easy reading history books, and inner/outer healing.
Because of their experience in life and stability,I enjoy spending time with "grey hairs". We both love to travel and meet new people. we're into working with people, making exciting things happen!

I love to involve our children with all that we do. especially our 11 year old. I also really Love being a parent and putting my whole self into it, being fully present with our children. Our oldest has cerebral palsy from a birth injury, so we spend a lot of time with him, teaching him things that other children "are just able to do" My kids are really into reciting whole scenes from Les Miserables. we mostly do Unschooling with some other stuff here and there.

We have over 70 chickens and now as of last month 3 goats. they are adorable and eat our weeds!
