CURRENT MISSION

Backpacking around Puerto Rico for 5 weeks. I'm very excited about going on my first trip solo, I have made no plans and hope to do whatever I feel like every day. Give me a txt if you want to meet up or have a couch I can stay on for a night or two.

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Anja!
I have finished my second year of my education to become a midwife. I have 1½ years left and decided now was the perfect time for ½ year break to unwind and get my energy tanks filled up again.

I'm the youngest of two sisters, aunt to Mynthe who is 3 years old and girlfriend to Simon.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make of it and happiness is not a destination but a way of travelling.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

Friends of mine introduced me to couchsurfing and I immediately loved the concept! I met some of the couchsurfers that visited my friends and saw that they were just like me, ordinary people with a sense for adventure.

So like everyone else in this community I am on couchsurfing to meet lovely people and experience the places where I go from a local point of view.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only ever couchsurfed once when I was in New Zealand. I'll admit it was a bit scary staying with strangers for the first time, but it didn't take long before I felt welcome and we ended up having a good time.

I still haven't had the pleasure of hosting anyone due to the lack of a couch and moving back and forth every six months for my studies, but I hope to pop that cherry soon!

Intereses

Travelling and exploring the world is a general interest of mine - backpacking, hiking, fancy hotel stays, hitchhiking, romantic urban city stays - I love it all!
I like rock climbing (though I'm a bit out of shape at the moment), eating good food, watching movies, drinking good coffee, having a beer or two, reading, dancing and singing (not pretty, but good fun), laughing, crocheting and the latest interest of mine is yoga.

My favorite book is 'This is where I leave you' by Jonathan Tropper - dramatic and humorous - makes me both cry and laugh. Right now I'm reading ' Wild' by Cheryl Strayed.
I have a very wide music taste, but lately I often listen to Drake and Florence + The Machine, depending on my mood.
Comedy movies are my favorite, but in general I just want to be entertained and love movies that uplift me.

I've started to crochet about a year ago and would love to teach you if you're interested. I've just started having an interest in yoga, it would be fun doing it together. I can teach you a few phrases in danish if you like and you can teach me some phrases in your language.
