About Me

I am rather quiet when you first meet me, but I am very nice and friendly. I love food and culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My friend is the one who introduced me to couchsurfing. At first I though....no way, this thing isn't actually safe is it? ... But I agreed because I'm a poor college student who makes minimum wage. BUT,

When we were looking through all the profiles and looking for a place to stay, I realized that the couchsurfing community is so much more than just a "free hostel." It's a group of friendly, adventurous people who want to explore the world and meet lifelong friends along the way. It made me genuinely more excited to travel as it would give me the opportunity to feel welcome in places I've never been before, and have conversations with people who share similar interests in culture, food, and exploring the world :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I like all types of music :) If you went through my music you'd find everything from Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 in G major, anything KPOP, Sultan's of Swing by Dire Straits, La Grange by ZZ Top, Zawsze z Tobą Chciałbym Być by Ich Troje, to random movie soundtracks.

I am obsessed with Studio Ghibli movies, and Princess Monoke and Sprited Away are probably my favorite. I love historical movies such as Braveheart or The Last of the Mohicans (although they aren't that historically accurate). But I also have a soft spot for some of the Fast and Furious movies because Paul Walker...
I also really liked Kimi no Na Wa.

And books.... Uh I read way too much to list them all here. But one of my favorite books that I always go back to is Moonlight Shadow by Banana Yoshimoto.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 18 I got to go on an archaeological excavation in Mississippi. Archaeology is a huge obsession of mine, and I finally got to do it. Mississippi wasn't a place that I was particularly interested in going, but after the trip I was in love with the food, people, culture, and the Native American history of that area. I learned so much and got to get my hands dirty(literally, I was covered in mud from head to toe everyday, but I loved every second of it). Hands down, best experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking about traveling :) I think that's something that a lot of people that couchsurf have in common. I especially love the places in an area that aren't as popular to tourists.
But I also love learning about other people. I think everyone has an amazing story that brought them to where they are today, and I am always there to listen.
I'm not that great at cooking, but American tacos or spaghetti is always something I'm willing to make :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am pretty easy going. I am open to hanging out with my host, or if they prefer to be left alone that's totally great too. I understand that you are sharing your home with me, and there are certain boundaries that shouldn't be crossed. I respect your privacy and the rules that you have set in place.
