HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven’t yet had the pleasure of taking part in the magic that is couchsurfing but I’m excited to both surf and host. My parents live in a nice town, near a river (if good weather, good for water activities like skiing and a banana boat) and have a horsestable and I currently I live in Chongqing in China. I enjoy my work and traveling a lot!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Yes I had fun while travelling but experiencing the flash flooding that devastated Fiji was a true eye opener for me. Peoples’entire livelihoods were washed away in a matter of hours and although it was truly heartbreaking to experience their loss first hand, it was breathtaking to be able to help them piece their lives back together. During the first few weeks of my time in Fiji I spent my time cleaning away mud and sewage out of the local school, donating supplies and producing a worldwide charity appeal. The strength and high spirits of the Fijian people in the face of adversity were a source of true inspiration that will stay with me for a lifetime. “Just keep smiling” is a philosophy I learnt from them.
