ABOUT ME

Music is central. I headed for a career in engineering and the muse picked me up along the way and steered me better. I've been drumming for a couple decades, and am currently playing/recording with the colorado bands 'Wadirum' and 'The Otone Brass Band'. Besides playing/teaching music, I hike, wander, and run outside often, and generally try to grow my mindfulness and heartfulness and bodyfulness.. I find everything amusing and benevolent, so i laugh constantly. Some people call me crazy, and i can see why, but i know what i'm doing.

Interests

Socializing and being alone. Eating vegan foods and also sushi. Music with energy in it: electronica, [indie-] rock, live jazz, ethnic, good hiphop. Dancing, performing music, teaching music, inventing music. Wandering outside, ideally in nature. Swimming, hiking, running, workouts, throwing frisbees at night. Writing, reading, expanding consciousness. Creating mandalas as sculptures or paintings, and staring at them. Giving and/or being in service to other people. Exploring/adventuring. I gave up TV when i was 18.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Personally verified way beyond my own doubt (many times!) that beliefs are the roots of reality, and changing them actually changes reality. AMAZING. I have transcended lots of personal limits and defied all statistics.
