Overview
About Me
Easygoing, fun loving, freewheeling, love adventure and riding motorbikes. I used to work as a TV journalist, until I quit and opened a pub in Manali and in Goa. Always game for a new adventure, impulsive, a great sidekick when it comes to chasing rainbows. Very lucky, I always get away with a lot, and always get much more than I deserve :)
I have traveled extensively through India, living closely with the people. I am fascinated by its diversity and its beauty.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To share with people of diverse cultures, to explore the world through their eyes and their perspectives. To share with others the beauty and wonder of this land and its people, to make them see a method in this madness that is India. To share stories, experiences, adventures, freedom and joy.
Running a pub brings me in touch with people from all over the world. We share a few moments of our lives, which sometimes turn into enduring friendships. An afternoon, a short adventure, a motorbike ride - sharing is what makes life worthwhile.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Though I had a very crazy life - A runaway childhood, ending up as an investigative journalist, and now running pubs in Manali and Goa (you can read more about it here if you like - http://www.openthemagazine.com/article/true-life/the-road-to-freedom), and have been lucky enough to live to tell the tale.
Easily fascinated, and very impulsive, I once quit my job and traveled through Darjeeling, Sikkim, Nepal and Changthang for 2 years to to shoot a documentary on the ancient pre-Buddhist religion of Tibet. Moved by motorbike, horses, foot and yak caravans, crossing borders without papers; lived with nomads on high Himalayan meadows, and with Tibetan lamas in remote monasteries; gathered yak-dung every day to cook our meals, and went without a bath for 5 months straight because that's how everyone lived there. What I saw changed everything I believed in - https://www.facebook.com/wildog/media_set?set=a.46730722437.55801.597422437&type=3
What I Can Share with Hosts
Adventures, motorcycle rides, road trips, good experiences, incredible-but-true stories, excitement and fun.
An understanding of Indian culture, tradition, Ayurveda, yoga, tantra, myth, mythology, legend and religion. I am a good storyteller, and a good listener.
I can be a friend, can listen, lend a shoulder, lend a hand, can be comfortable with silence.
