ABOUT ME

I am a native Texan, having spent most of my life in the Texas Hill Country. I grew up in Austin, but I spent a great deal of my young life working on my Granddadds ranch in Hamilton, as small town as it gets. I have always been fascinated by cultures and people other than my own. I want to learn about this world I live in, maybe even break the American stereotype that so many people seem to have. I am an avid SCUBA diver and amateur musician, and I am happiest when deep in nature.

PHILOSOPHY

To bring joy to the people around me, to protect the defenseless, and to make this planet a better place for all of us to live. Respect others and their beliefs, and maybe they will respect you back. Vague and cliché I know, but you can't blame me for trying

I live in a dormitory currently so I have no spare space. hopefully that should change soon but if someone wants me to show them around Lubbock or Austin I'm always happy to help

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Discovered this site when I was younger, thought it sounded like a great way to see the world and meet locals and like minded people.

Music is one of my favorite things on earth, especially folk songs of all cultures. I am teachings myself a few instruments, Im best at the harmonica but I can do a few things with the accordion, bass guitar, mountain dulcimer, tin whistle, and didgeridoo. Im most interested in discovering new places and people. I love exploring. I love old cars, am currently fixing a 1965 chevrolet pickup. I love classic literature and old movies. Im interested in lots of things

Been circled by a 7 foot tiger shark in the pacific, drove 6000 miles from Texas to Calgary, Banff, Vancouver, to the Grand Canyon and home. Thrown Rwandan children about 10 feet in the air
