Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Having done six weeks solo travelling around Armenia, Georgia and Lebanon, I'm convinced that meeting locals is the only way to travel - I have met so many interesting and generous people who have been happy to show me how they live.

Every time I've been travelling, the most amazing experiences have been with locals who have been keen to show you their hometown, and to share the best experiences with you.

I love windsurfing, fishing, hiking and just getting outside. I'm open minded and love to try new things.

I do also love to hang out and enjoy a few beers - I'm looking forward to swapping the cozy pubs and warm ales of Oxford and London for something a bit different.

Some of my favourites are the Arctic Monkeys, the Beatles, Tame Impala, Bon Iver, Mala, Van Morrison, Rodriguez, Four Tet, Duke Ellington, Beethoven, Burial, Aphex Twin, Nas, and Kanye West.

I'm a big movie fan, and have enjoyed watching films with my dad since I was young - my favourite directors are Alfred Hitchcock, Stanley Kubrick, and David Lynch.

I read a lot of non-fiction as I like to learn about the world - I have just finished reading 'World Order' by Henry Kissinger.

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Packed up and moved to Palestine to teach myself Arabic. Sadly I had to go home because I tore my foot open cliff-jumping. Now I’m giving Turkish a go - please give me a hand!

I can make a few meals well - mostly not English food because our cuisine is famously bad (apart from apple crumble!). I'm also happy to help out with anything around the house or volunteering.
