About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to get some science done, educate others, learn as much about everything and just survive!

ABOUT ME

I'm an assistant professor studying cognitive neuroscience and aphasia - but I consider myself a student of much more than that. I'm incredibly curious, and very open to all walks of life. I love the idea of couchsurfing, but I'd also like to successfully keep my head out of a freezer. So I'm wading in carefully, and hopefully :)

PHILOSOPHY

I don't know if I've got my scattered thoughts down into an organized "philosophy".

I believe in a sense of community. This means trying to ensure the best for everyone. And this couchsurfing website is an AMAZING idea that fits perfectly with this idea! I'd love to see this become more popular.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just created the profile because I need a place to stay for a short while - hope to pay it forward if I can get the chance :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None, yet!

Interests

Reading, playing piano (poorly), traveling, playing Go.

Really, I love learning above all.

Music, Movies, and Books

Anything by Chomsky. And Tolstoy.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the great fortune to visit Rome and wander through the forum and Colosseum. It was just amazing to be in a place that existed millennia ago. I would love to travel and see even more ancient civilization.

Teach, Learn, Share

Oh boy. Teach, learn share?

I know a bit about linguistics and cognitive neuroscience. This may not always be practical, but is absolutely fascinating :)

Really, I'd love to learn some practical things like cooking or car mechanics.

Countries I’ve Visited

England, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Spain
