Hey!
So these things are pretty hard to write. Well, I'm 18 and finishing school and I'll be going to university in London next year. I'm hoping to study History of Art and German! I'm very into my art and work mostly in ceramics at school. I put some of my recent work in my photos.
I live with my parents and am the youngest of 3 siblings, who are both already at university. I'm looking forward to having some freedom next year and also to travelling this summer.
I would say that I'm naturally curious and always up for learning and doing new things. I love meeting new people and sharing experiences, but also like to be by myself occasionally while exploring or reading.
I like to gym and swim. I've played for lots of sports teams at school like rugby and waterpolo.
I'm openly gay and have quite a liberal mindset and I tend to surround myself with open, like-minded people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on Couchsurfer this summer because I'm going inter-railing by myself between 17th July and 14th of August. I'm meeting with friends at different places such as Paris, Berlin, Innsbruck and Plitvice National Park. Occasionally, I'm staying in places by myself and am staying in hostels and I hope to meet nice people. But I really want experience staying with a local and getting a sense of the area that I'm staying in that I would get from a tourist booklet! I think this site is an amazing idea and hope to meet some great people while I'm travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: probably literally anything- I listen to all sorts from chart UK music, to German and Spanish songs.
Movies: favourite films probably are 'The Help', 'The Descendants' or any kind of chick flick
Books: favourite author- Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Never read all of the Harry Potters. Looking to read a lot this summer before University so look forward to any recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not really sure. I'm done a couple of exciting things such as climb Mt Etna in Sicily or been on Safari in Kenya. I've whitewater rafted in the French Alps and skied there in the winter. I've done some memorable thing but hoping to do a lot more....I'm only 18. I really want to try something crazy like skydiving while I'm away.
