COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Cycled through Netherlands and Germany with two friends and CS for that time through my friends account. CSed in Europe on two long trips and met really amazing folk. Have now hosted some folk in Manchester and love finally being able to experience the role reversal.

Movies - Fargo, Big Lebowski, Requiem for a Dream, Pi, Eraserhead, Takeshi Kitano Films, My neighbour Totoro, The Dollars Trilogy, David Lynch films, Into the Wild, Superbad, Freaks and Geeks, more...

Books - anything by Murakami, Thoreau, Bukowski, Kerouak, Raymond Chandler, Jack London, Dashiell Hammett, HP Lovecraft, Vonnegut, Kafka, Alan Moore, Orwell or Philip K Dick. Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Illuminati Trilogy, Shindlers Ark, The Pianist, Love that Dog, Into the Wild & Into Thin Air are great books too. Also Garfield, Moomin, Peanuts and books about pirates or detectives have a positive effect on me. Also, also .... .... etc etc to eternity.

Music - Hmm... this is harder. Some bands I have listened to in no particular order. Pearl Jam, REM, Lemon Jelly, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Thievery Corporation, Mozes, Spiritualised, Zero 7, Nine Inch Nails, Tool, Bjork, Sigur Ross, Joy Zipper, Royksopp, Athlete, Jimmy Eat World, Floggin Molly... etc... There are so many more and they come and go.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Building homes in Guatemala in Santa Maria de Jesus. Working in an orphanage in Bolivia. Running in the London Marathon. Night hike through the jungle to Tikal. Sleeping on the edge of the sahara. And not to mention all the amazing people I've seen and spent time with between these places means its impossible to pick just one (so I didn't.)

Teach, Learn, Share

Try not to have a good time . . . This is supposed to be educational...I guess I could teach you something about Architecture but then after almost 6 years i've noticed that the average person seems to know quite a bit more. I can teach you how to make a scale model from toothpicks, cereal boxes and straws at 4.30 in the morning on 3 cups of coffee. If thats considered useful.
