PHILOSOPHY

I want to know the earth. When I die, I want to be able to look back on my experience on earth and say that "yes, I am proud to call myself a human and an inhabitant of the earth." I want to experience other cultures in their richest sense!

Interests

Design, art, and creativity; I have an enormous passion for everything related to good design. Inspiration is a key element to what draws me to want to learn new skills, see new perspectives, experience new places and eat new cuisine. There is a lot I'd like to learn from the world, and what better way than traveling it through the eyes of the locals?

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a HUGE movie buff! Film making is my passion, so I cater to it whenever I can!

Music: I enjoy pretty much everything, but I love modern classical composures.

Books: sadly, I do not read as much as I should!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After spending the night at an ultra-friendly bed and breakfast just outside of Assisi, Italy; my friends and I hiked up to the top of the mountain where the Rocca Maggiore castle stood, expecting to be able to go right in and begin a tour. Little did we know that the ancient structure did not even open for another 90 minutes as it was still early morning. Seeing as we had just hiked up there, we did not want to hike all the way down to just have to hike up again, so we decided to just wait at the top until they opened. We decided to wait it out in the walled garden attached to the castle- which we later learned was called the "enchanted garden". From there, we could see the hill town of Assisi below in the morning sun. We took out our sketchbooks and painted quick watercolors of the garden, we relaxed with local cats that came to sit on our laps, and we sipped on coffee from the gift shop. The 'little setback' turned into an incredibly satisfying and rejuvenating experience- one which stayed in my mind as a simple highlight from an already highlighted trip!
