Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I started off going to the weekly couchsurfing meeting in Brussels, then I surfed a bit abroad, but mostly I slept at my friends places. In my university city (Leuven) I started organizing language meetings in 10 different languages. It exists now since 2010 and works quite well. From April 2015 until June 2015 I hosted in Brussels. Music, Movies, and Books

Books in Spanish, Portuguese, German and French language are my favourite, since 2004 I am reading in Spanish, and reading a lot. I also read a lot about Congo and Brazil, but more non-fiction.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am native in Dutch so I am ready to teach dutch, I am also passionate in teaching Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French. I want to practice my Russian.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook and I enjoy just an easy evening. During the day I could guide people around in Brussels, but I normally don't, I do make exceptions. I don't pay to much attention to touristy things when I would take you for a visit. I love to tell the story of the minorities in Brussels and I am also fond of the European Union in Brussels.

Also I am big walker, so in my community outside Brussels there is a lot to cool stuff to visit like an old paper factory or a craftbeer tour. It's amazing just to enjoy nature and drink craft beer or eat local food.
