About Me

Get my shit together

Hi everyone, my name is Billy and I live with my buddy Alex. Alex works from home and sometimes I do too. I'm pretty active, I plan to do a lot of snowboarding this winter and I'll be doing some climbing in Joshua Tree in November. Alex and I both wake up pretty early, around 4 or 5 so if you're on one of the couches in the living room you'll probably get woken up. We have an extra bedroom which is pretty nice, but we have a friend who basically couchsurfs like 4-5 days a week so the room might be taken. If you make arrangements we can tell him they'll be company. We wake up early and go to bed early, sorry, we also go to the gym 4-7 days a week. On Friday and Saturday we usually have people over, sometimes on Tuesdays too. We all smoke so if you have a problem with that sorry. We also have a dog named Fry, hes a pretty big pitbull. It's a very mellow environment at the house.

I get up early cause there's a very nice place to go mountain biking about 15 minutes from house. It's called Del Cerro in Palos Verdes if you want to look it up, there's very nice hiking there too. I like to be there when the sun comes up before it gets too hot. Usually about once a month my friends and I all do a little trip. I'm trying to plan a spear fishing trip to Catalina Island, and kayaking and hiking in the Channel Islands. My friends and I all surf, and there are extra boards if you want to learn/try. One of my friends is surf instructor too, so you can get some discounted lessons. There are a lot of great hiking trails very close to the house, so we can easily get some good hiking in everyday of the week.

I have a season pass for Mammoth so I'll be trying to go there as often as possible for anyone who's looking to come in the winter time.

There is such a big world out there and so much to see and do, I would like to do as much as possible with as many people as possible.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

i love the idea of couch surfing. i had no idea that there were so many people who are like me and think like me.

So far my few experiences have been great, a few sketchy ones, but you have to take the bad with the good.

I like the outdoors. I snowboard, surf, rock climb, skim board, skateboard, hike, things like that.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies, too many to list, same with music. I read a lot but mostly articles.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting in rio looking across the bay at corcovado and Pão de Açúcar on a crystal clear day. staying in Ica Peru where there was no electricity or running water, the stars really lit up the sky at night. running from mortars in Afghanistan.

Teach, Learn, Share

Anyone is welcome, I'm sure there are many things I can learn from anyone and many things I can share.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Chile, Mexico, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, El Salvador, Guatemala, Peru, United States
