Hey, I'm William, 20 years old. I am currently a PhD student in mathematics. My passion is travelling. I've travelled a lot with my parents when I was a child, and now I'm old enough to keep on moving around the world by myself. I've travelled around the US the past year, and now I wish to explore the parts of Europe I've never been to. My dream is to travel around South America for a long time in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because hostels are really fun, but it's hard sometimes to bond with locals. Couchsurfung is a solution to this problem, allowing me to get to know locals when I travel.

Interests

I really like science. I am studying math, so obviously I love math. But I am also interested in other parts of science, like computer science or chemistry. I want to understand the world better by knowing more science and travelling. That's pretty much my goal in life :)
I also enjoy sports, movies, books and art in general, but that's not very original, is it?

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into punk music right now. From the classics: The Clash, The Ramones, Dead Kennedys, etc... to more modern stuff: Days n Daze, Pat the Bunny, Leftover Crack, etc... Going to punk concert is one of the thing I enjoy the most. I love the feel of being alive when moshing and partying with people I don't know.

I have a lot of favorite movies, but my top 3 would be: Apocalypse Now, Im Lauf der Zeit and Melancholia.

My favorite book is probably Voyage jusqu'au bout de la nuit, by Céline.
