Currently working in Cairo for the British Council as an English teacher.
I like to travel and learn about different cultures and histories. Also a big fan of music, going to festivals and concerts whenever and wherever possible. Trying new things keeps me going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Getting genuine insights into different cultures and unfamiliar environments, all the while sharing my own inane thoughts and bugging people with questions.
I have helped to host people before via a friends account and made some good friends showing them around my city, learning a lot in the process.

Music, Movies, and Books

Currently reading Naguib Mahfouz and other works by Arabic authors and I hope to read a book from every country on earth by the time I'm 30. My favourite is probably Brave New World as I like political and social commentaries, Catch 22 (the funniest book in existence) or 100 Years of Solitude.

Eclectic music taste- lover of dancing. Big fan of funk/disco and 1960's style rock. Play something new and obscure and I'll tell you :)
