My name is William, 24 year old Australian backpacker trying to live the dream and travel the world. Always looking to make some pretty cool friends and experiences along the way. I’m easy going, love to make new friends and also happy to help out in any way possible.

I’ve been travelling, volunteering and working for the past year through Africa and Europe. I’ve done unofficial couch surfing, both hosting and staying with friends of friends or with locals throughout the world. Looking to finally use this account to connect with a completely different community and become an offical couch surfer!

My favourite part of connecting with this type of community is the process of cultural exchange. This goes both ways - whether hosting or staying. The ability to show people your own culture or have interesting conversations about different cultures is key.
