Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm taking leave soon, traveling alone, and I want to meet local people who can help me maximize my time by avoiding the not so great places, and tourist traps. I learned that seeing a place through the eyes of a person who enjoys where they live, and experiences their favorite places and things to do can make a place special, and not just somewhere I once visited or passed through.
