I am 75 years old. I have been married for 51 years. I have a son and a daughter and three grandchildren.
After graduating from the University, I taught secondary school for five years. I then became a construction contractor specializing in restorations of historic houses. Many of the houses I restored were converted into romantic apartments for young professionals, that I still own and rent.
My first major travel adventure was at 20 years old. I spent three months hitchhiking throughout Europe. It came to a sudden end because what little money I had was stolen in Rome. Fortunately, I was able to get a job on a passenger ship in Naples, I returned to New York with more money in my pocket than when I left.
Life is good!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am traveling with my two granddaughters. Grace16 (daughter's daughter) and Lillian14 (son's daughter), both are academic honor students. Grace plays the violin, runs cross country and was born with wanderlust. Lillian plays the piano, is in the school swing choir and since a small child has always wanted to go to Paris.. This will be their first experience at foreign travel. I can introduce them to the things that makes Paris, --Paris! Everything that is, except Parisians. Only you can do that! Please.
The same applies to Amsterdam and all other places we will visit.

Interests

I have always enjoyed history, but after realizing the victors wrote the history books, I have become increasingly interested in alternative history. Especially probable events of prehistory.
My path to understanding has been through study of mythology and major religions.
I am interested in so-called Conspiracy Theories.
Secret space programs.
Extraterrestrial presence.
