I am embarking on a trip 10 years in the planning. I have dreamt of living in Canada since age 15, staring out of a high school window dreaming of the great white north on the other side of the world :)
I love travelling, the outdoors, and have fiery passions for mountain biking, ice hockey, visual art, gardening, and gym/healthy lifestyle.
I am an Emergency and ICU Nurse, who is currently teaching working with Nursing students at the largest hospital in Queensland, Australia.
I LOVE exploring, and being able to share our little slice of experience of the world with the other travelers.

A good read for me is an autobiographies of inspiring or hard-working people. Climbing Everest, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chris Hadfield, National Geographic, Photography or Travel Journals.

Hiked the summit of an active volcano at dawn, Indonesia.
Won academic scholarship to highschool and youth author prize, worked myself through university.
Climbed to the top of Angkor-Wat, Cambodia.
Shattered, then recovered from a broken Spine, now walking and active again.
Nursed all over Australia with 7 Years Healthcare and Emergency experience.
Mountain-biked in 4 Australian states, Indonesia and Japan.
Dived the Great Barrier reef before and after mass coral bleaching.
Raced Motocross in a 24hr Endurance Race.
Won academic scholarship to highschool and youth author prize.
Art exhibitions for oil-painting, acrylics, ceramics and drawings.

I love to learn, and it is my main drive for trying Couch-surfing! Knowledge or skills you have to teach me, will all be appreciated, as will the opportunity to do so... especially new recipes!
