About Me

I'm 42 years old and I live in a country I despise at my very core. I hate just about everything about this greedy, destructive place. I will not live the remaining years of life in this ridiculous excuse for a society, so I'm leaving my family and my house and my dog and getting the fuck out of here. Probably for good. I am in school learning computer security and ethical hacking so I can have a skill when I emmigrate. March 13, 2018 I will get on a plane to somewhere. I will more than likely head to Peru for a couple of months with a stop in Mexico to see Teotihuacan and Chichen Itza. I am also considering backpacking through Europe for 3 months instead, alternating train and bus. I would like to end up living in Brisbane or Noumea or Auckland. Looking for felllow travelers to any of these destinations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to meet the kind of people I aspire to be. I look at profiles on here and am amazed at how many have been able to travel the world and the see the things I've only dreamed of seeing.

Interests

I'm fascinated by history and the sciences of the natural world. I'm generally obsessed with the dynamics of the devolution of humanity. I'm completely consumed with learning about war and religion, though I despise both. I want to undestand how and why humanity has digressed to such a pitiful state, and how we can change things by learning about the past. I believe that there has been knowlegde of the earth and our surroundings that has been forgotten over time, and seek to recapture just a small amount of it. We have lost our way with ourselves and it started when we lost our way with the earth. The constant rape of our ecosystems and the greed which proliferates it sickens me. My goal is to travel the world and visit ancient sites in search of any answers that may help link me to a time where people worked in a symbiotic relationship with each other and the earth.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music : Anything older. Music made this millennium is pretty much garbage. Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, and Tool to name a couple
Movies: Anything epic. Once again, new movies usually are a let down. Action and comedies are also nice.
Books: I can't read. Just kidding, I just haven't read books since the internet was invented.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't feel like I've done anything amazing in my life, and that needs to change. The internet has allowed me to live vicariously through other people and see things without actually going to see them. I'm 42 and have been apathetic and lethargic, and quite frankly, I'm embarassed how little I've accomplished.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Sadly, not much. I have money, whatever that's worth... I will be teaching English at a school, so maybe I can help with teaching you some, and anything you want to know about the garbage dump called the USA, I can fill you in.
