CURRENT MISSION

I am in the fantastically lucky position of getting 3 months off each year to explore new parts of the world. I live in Hong Kong which is a small place to its brilliant to get out and visit new places.

ABOUT ME

Born in England, I moved to Hong Kong when I was a baby and never looked back. Most of my career has been spent arranging business conferences mostly around Asia. The last four years at the Economist (magazine). I set up my hiking/running event/business which keeps me very busy for some of the year, but allows a good chunk of time off for travelling. Although I have had the fortune of running events all round the world, I want to explore the US/South America more as most of my travels have been around Asia/Europe. I love outdoor activities and some of my best trips have involved multi day hiking/camping routes with random groups of other travellers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not sure yet, the idea is fun. I always find meeting people from an area provides the best experiences. I would also imagine the type of people who host travellers, are pretty open minded and would be fun.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None... yet. I signed up a while ago but just haven't had the right moment to try it. A bit of an excuse I know, but its definitely on my bucket list to try.

Interests

Outdoors, nature, animals, snakes, hiking, Muay Thai, swimming and restaurants. I really don't like night clubs any more and prefer more chilled bars with live music even better. ;-)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being brought up in Hong Kong gives you an opportunity to travel to so many interesting places in our backyard. I love travelling to new places.
