Hey couchsurfing, I'm Will. I love the outdoors, technology and traveling. I surf and climb, yet still love sitting in front of the computer programming or analyzing data.

PHILOSOPHY

The pursuit of happiness is highly underrated!! Go find happiness whatever it means. For me it's simply hanging out with friends, drinking a nice beer, and eating lots of good ice cream. Call me simple, but sometimes I think we over think things and end up letting the little things in life bother us more than they should. Try to keep an open mind!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had people host me and I've hosted others when I was in California. I just moved to NYC and my studio has a very small, but new couch (I'm not sure if it's suitable for hosting due to its length).

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I packed up all of my material possessions into one duffel bag. After I picked the bag up, it ripped. Got rid of a few more useless things after that. Then I left the country to live on an island! After coming back, I settled into a new place. A few years later, I did it all again (this time with two duffel bags) and now I'm in a new place again (New York City).

Climbing Coconut Trees 101

You gotta lean back when climbing coconut trees. Your natural instinct is to hug the tree as close and tightly as possible, which is the wrong way to go. You only manage to scrape up your thighs and arms.

So lean back, grip with your hands and feet only, and move one limb at a time. When you reach the top, then you can go into a hugging position. Twist the coconuts off instead of chopping (that way you don't have to carry a machette up and it's easier/safer than swinging overhead)
