I'm a very easy-going guy who just recently started becoming more active on Couchsurfing. I grew up in Massachusetts and now I'm living in the Hudson Valley region of New York State where I work as a shipping Technician for a weather forecasting company for ships traveling all over the world. I've had a passion for weather since I was 10 years when I began tracking hurricanes all over the Atlantic that occasionally hit the United States. Eventually, my passion led to major in Meteorology in college and now I'm working at job that I never expected I would work at, but that I've grown to love. Aside from weather, I enjoy running (I ran sprints in high school and college) and more recently I've done more long distance runs. Hiking is another great hobby of mine. I've hiked up a +14000 ft mountain called Mt. Bierstadt in Colorado. Music, anime, movies, politics, and geography are also subjects that I enjoy a lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing at the suggestion of my childhood friend who is also a couchsurfer. I think it is great place not just to travel, but to meet new and interesting people, explore places in the world that you may never have heard of, and experience different cultures that are very different from your own. Even though, I haven't been very active on Couchsurfing, I hope to become more active as my roommate and I have hosted numerous couchsurfers over the years through his account. I've thoroughly enjoyed meeting all the people that we have hosted over the years.
