ABOUT ME

I'm a glass half full kind of person, quite relaxed- i try to keep stress to a minimum and enjoy life. Positive thinking is the way forward!
I finished my degree in French and German in 2010 and moved straight back to Berlin where i'd previously spent a year off during studies to improve my Germany. I fell in love with the city and it has now been my home for many years.

Everyday is a new adventure. I've been fortunate enough to move between France, Germany, Spain and England partly studying and partly working and I've had the most amazing time. I'm a big language enthusiast and love living abroad which has always been one of my main aims in life since I was young. I've realised that dream and I'm making the most of it. I work part time as an English teacher and have another part-time job on the side.

PHILOSOPHY

Too many to name... First and foremost- you only live once, so make the most of it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I think the idea behind couchsurfing is brilliant, it's a great opportunity to have a better experience in a new city by getting to know people who know the area. But not just that, it's a great community where people help each out through hospility.
I've been out of action for some time now and have reverted more to unofficial couchsurfing but as a good friend of mine is travelling the world at the moment and meeting wonderful people through the site, I want to get back into the scene and hope to meet some great new people.
I've let couchsyrfers, friends, and friends of friends stay at a few of my places over the past few years, and I've always had an amazing experience. I've also shown people around the city and met up for drinks through the website. I would like to offer my new apartment to people to stay when I'm back from travelling.
I love showing people around where i live or meeting for a drink.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was when I hitched to Prague from England in 2008 and got picked up by a really friendly german guy who let me and my friend stay with him in Bonn for a few days, it was the nicest thing ever, he was such a good host. Since then I've i've some great expeiences couchsurfing whilst living away from England. Some people have been welcoming and helpful beyond belief.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Shambala festival the past decade. This festival is so fricking good that I dream about it often enough. It's 4 days of being away from normal life and being put into an arena of non-stop fun. It's my favourite thing to attend in the year.
Watching a duck fall on ice was also an important moment for me...

教，学，和分享

I loooooove learning and teaching languages. There's nothing that makes me smile more than being with a group of people who speak a mixture of different langauges. I'm slowly but surely progressing with Spanish and love any opportunity to speak the language. As an experienced language tutor, I can offer my English to anyone wanting to practice. I want to continue Learning yoga and I love learning new things.
